Here's our hotel. About 200 years old, really nice, modern appliances but no internet access! Welcome to the village
of Rohrdorf.
Another shot of the hotel. As you can see, very Bavarian
Here's a classic Bavarian village landmark. Each of the characters tells a story about the history of the village. I
think they had a fire at some point (hidden behind the trees). This picture was taken from my hotel room.
The next few pictures are on the grounds of a famous castle on Lake Chimsee, where Ludwig II attempted to build a magnificent
70 room castle (he ran out of money after 20 rooms). Lots of gold leaf, a "wall of mirrors" concert performance hall that's
about 100 meter long (again, lots of gold leaf and amazing ceiling murals). This guy knew how to spend the cash!
I couldn't get back far enough to get this monstrocity into 1 shot (hey - it's 100 meters wide!) so I had to parse it,
as they say in shutterbug lingo...
Hey - we worked too! Franz is on the left, Suneil is on the right. As you can see from the projection screen, we decided
to start with a clean slate...
